Data and privacy

What this site collects

Plain English, no legal padding. This page explains what happens to data when you read Fill and Sign PDF Tools, and what to do if you would rather it did not.

This is a publishing site. You do not upload documents here, you do not create an account, and there is nothing for you to sign. That keeps this policy short.

What we do not collect

Analytics

We use a web analytics service to understand which pages people read and how they arrived. It reports in aggregate: page paths, referring sites, approximate location at country or region level, browser and device type, and how long a page was open. We use it to decide what to write next and which pages need updating.

Analytics providers typically set their own cookies or use similar identifiers to distinguish one visit from another. We do not use analytics data to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers.

Cookies

A small number of cookies and equivalent browser storage entries may be set when you visit:

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop the site working; nothing on it depends on being able to remember you.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination site may record that the visit came from us so that a commission can be attributed. That handoff is governed by the destination site privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive personal information about you from those merchants — commission reporting reaches us as counts, not as names.

Third parties and outbound links

Reviews and guides link out to software vendors, documentation, and reference material. Once you follow a link you are on someone else site, under their terms and their privacy policy. We have no control over what they collect and cannot answer for it.

Hosting and logs

Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs — the requested page, timestamp, IP address, and browser user agent — for security and troubleshooting. These are operational records, not a marketing database.

Your choices

Children

This site is written for adults handling business and personal paperwork. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes — a different analytics provider, a new affiliate programme — this page is updated to match. There is no separate archive of old versions; what is published here is what applies.

Contact

Privacy questions go to [email protected]. If your question is about data held by a tool we reviewed rather than by us, contact that vendor directly — we have no access to their systems.
